Smoketree’s Premier Community Event depends on our community!
Success of the Fun Run and Family Walk relies on:
• Participants having an exceptional experience each year!
• Awesome decorations!
• A course filled with zombies!
• Residents handing out candy!
• Neighborhood-wide party for everyone!
• Volunteers who can make it a reality!

Spookiest Street Contest
Smoketree and Stonehenge neighbors will compete to have the best decorated street on the course!
We need:
An ambassador from each street to rally neighbors to decorate and participate!

Common Area Decoration Prep
Preparing and placing the decorations in Smoketree’s public spaces.
We need:
• 3-5 people
• Help create decorations ~2 weeks before the run day
• Help decorate the day before the run

Adopt a Space
Adopt a public space along the route and turn it into a haunting experience for the runners!
We need:
• 2-5 families/groups
• Smoketree Drive on either side of Monacan’s entrance
• Perfect for residents who aren’t on the route but want to participate.

Family Walk Candy Tossers
Cheering on and tossing candy to the children
on the Family Walk.
We need:
• As many residents as possible
• Candy to toss/pass out to children on the walk
• A neighborhood full of happy children

Zombie Actors
Participate as a zombie haunting the course during the run!
We need:
• As many zombies as possible
• From 5:30pm-9:00pm
• People willing to dress and act like a zombie who aren’t afraid to scare
• No physical contact with the runners! Scare - yes. Touch - no.

Zombie Wranglers
Coordinate zombie placement, help with costumes and collect waivers
We need:
• 2-5 people
• From 5:30pm-9:00pm
• Help collect waivers from zombie actors and their parents
• Help with final touches on costumes
• Help coordinate the placement of zombies on the course
Communications
Handing out flyers, placing signage, sharing with local groups, etc…
We need:
• 3-4 people
• Pre-run

Medal Prep
Replacing ribbons on ~500 medals before the run
We need:
• 5-10 people
• Pre-run
• Removing 2023 ribbons and replacing with 2024 ribbons
Packet Pickup
Handout bibs and swag to both Fun Run
and Family Walk participants
We need:
• 5-10 people
• Day Before and Run Day

Finish Line Attendants
Congratulate walkers and runners and hand out medals
We need:
• 2-5 people
• 5:30pm-8:30pm Run Day

Jeep Club Coordinators
Work with Jeep Club Volunteers on placement and instructions
We need:
• 1-2 people
• 5:30pm-9:00pm Run Day
